AVT Business School Welcomes New Honorary Rector
It is with great pleasure and anticipation that AVT Business School announces the nomination of Prof. Jean-Noël Ezingeard as the new Honorary Rector, a ceremonial and ambassadorial position, commencing on September 1. His acclaimed career in educational leadership and strategic development is poised to greatly enrich our institution's dedication to fostering visionary thinking in business leadership.

Professor Ezingeard’s is Vice-Chancellor and President at the University of Roehampton, a University with a strong record of social inclusion and research excellence.
His nomination at AVT recognises an exceptional academic leadership journey which has emphasised partnerships between business and higher education. Prior to his current role at the University of Roehampton, he served as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor at The Manchester Metropolitan University, where he was responsible for Research and Strategic Planning. His role was integral to the university’s developmental strides in both academic excellence and strategic initiatives.
Prior to his role at Manchester Metropolitan, Professor Ezingeard was the transformative Dean of Business and Law at Kingston University. It was here that he led the Business School to international recognition, and two AMBA reacrreditations, significantly increased student satisfaction, and enhanced employer and community engagement. His leadership culminated in the school achieving the highest modern university business school ranking for research excellence, reflecting the scholarly rigor and quality of education under his stewardship.
Professor Ezingeard’s rich experience also extends to the healthcare sector, where he served as a Non-Executive Director at Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, offering a unique perspective on organizational management and quality assurance within the health services industry.
Professor. Ezingeard’s appointment aligns perfectly with AVT’s mission to mould reflective and responsible business leaders, capable of strategic thinking and innovation. He said of his appointment: “I am delighted to be recognised by AVT in this way. It delivers incredibly high academic standards while being grounded in day-to-day business issues. I am grateful to the School’s advisory board and directors for inviting me to join in an honorary capacity.
